Dreamings, The Elements Bed and Breakfast is tucked away in lush forests, rugged coastlines, and sheltered coves of East Sooke. A tranquil retreat, Dreamings is bounded by East Sooke Regional Park, a spectacular 3512 acre wilderness recreation park untouched by urban growth. Located on the southwestern tip of Vancouver Island, Sooke is a scenic 45-minute drive from Victoria. Renowned for its natural beauty, Sooke is home to a bounty of marine wildlife, including orca whales, sea lions, and porpoises. The towering firs are a sanctuary for black-tailed deer, bald eagles, black bears, and cougars. A vibrant rural community, Sooke supports a variety of interests, such as music, drama, photography, gardening, whale watching, and is a hotspot for sports fishing. Numerous noteworthy artists and artisans reside in the Sooke area. Annual studio tours, exhibitions, and art galleries proudly support local artists. You can reach Vancouver Island by ferry from Vancouver, Seattle, and Port Angeles, or fly directly into Victoria International Airport. Dreamings is located approx. 1 1/2 hours from the airport and 1 hour from downtown Victoria. Driving DirectionsThe scenic drive is quite nice. Take Highway #1 to Exit #14 South (Veteran's
Memorial Parkway). Turn right onto Sooke Road (Hwy #14) and follow for
20 minutes. Just after 17 Mile Pub, turn left down Gillespie Road. Follow
to the end, turn right onto East Sooke Road. Turn left on Llanalar. |
